Maricopa Arts Council at MAC Gallery will open with a gala reception Saturday for a new permanent gallery.
The event takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the University of Arizona Maricopa Agricultural Center, 37860 W. Smith-Enke Road.
Maricopa Arts Council and the UofA Maricopa Agricultural Center have come together to begin a new gallery, open to all forms of visual arts by Maricopa’s artists and artisans.
The project is spearheaded by arts council co-director and local artist Kaui Wilson and UofA Agricultural Center Director Ken Johnson.
“We look forward to being identified as an Arts and Culture center in our fair city and increasing awareness of what the University of Arizona’s Maricopa Agricultural Center has to offer to our gorgeous community,” Johnson said.
