New Dog Park Set to Open at Copper Sky
Maricopa, Arizona - The City of Maricopa is excited to announce the opening of a new dog park in an effort to provide high-quality amenities in more convenient locations for our pet owners. This plan was first presented to the community in August of 2021 outlining an effort to create smaller dog parks throughout the community for ease of access and decreased travel requirements.
The Bark at Copper Sky is located on the north end of the park just east of the lake and includes new amenities for our city's four-legged community members.
The Bark features an agility and precision course, a dog ramp, elevated steps, and several jumps. There are two water fountains located inside the park. Additionally, there are numerous shaded areas throughout with additional shade features planned in the future.
The Canine Crossing at Pacana Park opened earlier this year behind softball field #2 and will soon house similar amenities.
The existing dog park on the southwest side of Copper Sky will close on August 27.
Pet owners can anticipate more options as the City plans to open a third dog park near city hall in the future.
