Senior Field Trips have been temporarily cancelled due to a lack of response.
The January 16th Lunch and Learn at the City of Maricopa Community/Senior Center was used as a forum to provide feedback from the committee and input from the attendees to brainstorm alternative solutions or options. A number of ideas were presented and will be pursued by the Senior Field Trip committee to help reinstate senior field trips.
The dialog generated some excellent ideas and called out concerns regarding cost, better communication about events and procedures to support those seniors who do not utilize a digital environment. The committee promised to continue their work trying to find financial support to help reduce trip costs. Fund raising, research on grants, matching funds and continuing dialog with the City are all on the table.
These trips can be an important social and educational component of senior living and need to be preserved if not enhanced.
Please note that Ride347.com is still offering Special Event trips, but these trips are open to the general public and not exclusive to seniors.

RIDE347 vans are ADA accessible with one van having a ramp and the other having a lift. Each van can store 2 wheelchairs or walkers.
THESE EVENTS ARE NOT SPONSORED BY THE CITY OF MARICOPA. RIDE347 covers travel liability only. For all other activities, personal liability is assumed by each participant.
NOTE: Trips are dependent on reaching the minimum participant level of ten (10) attendees per bus.
