The new, easy-to-use online licensing service through DocuPet, provides a quick and seamless way to license your pet from the comfort of your own home. Not a big online user? No worries, in-person licensing services are still available at the Pinal County Animal Care and Control shelter.
APPLY FOR A LICENSE WITH DOCUPET
Pinal County Animal Care and Control (PCACC) has partnered with DocuPet to provide an enhanced pet licensing experience for residents. Your pet’s license now includes DocuPet’s free HomeSafe™ 24/7 lost pet service and designer license tags with personalization options. Additionally, 20% of every designer tag purchase is donated to PCACC through DocuPet’s Safe & Happy Fund.
When you register your pet in Pinal County, you will receive a unique license tag to attach to their collar. Our new licensing process with DocuPet allows residents to select a standard license tag at no additional charge or upgrade to one of DocuPet’s colorful designer tag styles.
Each DocuPet tag, standard or designer, doubles as a pet’s official Pinal County license and comes equipped with the HomeSafe™ 24/7 lost pet service, which relies on a dedicated full-time dispatch staff and linked pet profiles to help get lost pets home quickly.

State law requires all dogs over the age of three months to be vaccinated against rabies.
The license requirement is to allow city or county agencies to ensure that the dog has a current rabies vaccination. It also gives animal control agencies a way to identify the owner of an impounded animal so they can get the animal back home.
How do I get a license?
You must have a copy of a current rabies vaccination certificate from a licensed veterinarian that is good for at least one year.
You can come to the administrative office/shelter to buy your license. We are located at 1150 S Eleven Mile Corner Road, Casa Grande, AZ.
Or you can mail the vaccination certificate and application to the office along with the license fee and the license will be mailed to you.
Mail to:
Pinal County Animal Care and Control

Or you can upload your rabies certificate, application and make payment online.
You can visit the Maricopa Wells Veterinary Hospital at 41620 W Maricopa-Casa Grande Hwy Suite 101 and purchase your license.
