Our Mission -
"Our mission is to heal children’s hearts and minds through the rescue and rehabilitation of animals in need. We do this by creating a safe place for the community, foster, and lower income youth; providing them the experience of learning about and working with agriculture and animals."
In the December 20th issue of the Maricopa Monitor, staff writer Kenny Quayle, updated their story:
"Their purpose is to rescue and rehab animals, and over the last two years they have rescued nearly 600."
"As an animal sanctuary, they do not take in animals with the purpose of adopting them out; 99% of the animals in their care will stay there their entire lives. Whether that is a few days, a few months or a few years. Gud Ark is a safe place and a home for them."
"They currently have more than 400 residents, but their purpose extends beyond just the animals."
"Community is a massive part of Gud Ark's mission and even its basic operations. It could not accomplish its mission without the help of volunteers, the funding provided by community donations or the assistance with construction projects and various other necessities from the Eagle Scouts and other community organizations and businesses."
Check out this website to learn more about this unique undertaking that rescues both animals and children! Or consider volunteering or contributing to their cause."
